4 Stars For Sex and more
I’ve been looking for new ways to keep my sex life interesting and fresh and this book gave me lots of great ideas. I was also interested in learning about tantra and sex so I buy this one I’d recommend you best one:Sex and the Perfect Lover: Tao, Tantra, and the Kama Sutra

5 Stars This is THE sex manual. GREAT stuff! The only sex book you’ll ever need.
My wife and I have a very healthy and good sexual relationship and are always looking to improve our sex life one way or another. So I started browsing on amazon and bought this book. Was I glad I did! We picked up a multitude of new ideas (like where to have sex) and ideas about g-spot, oral, and new positions. This book is also very educational and covers just about everything: from a detailed description of the reproductive organs to safe sex and everything in between. I thought I knew about sex, but I was wrong…This book is great. Sari has a very humorous writing style and the book is filled with great suggestions & statistics. Bottom line: this is THE sex manual. It is far better than the other sex books that I looked at. Wholeheartily recommended!

4 Stars For beginners…
So I’m new at this, and the book really helped me learn a lot. My partner was impressed with what I told him and can’t wait to read it after I’ve annotated with my notes and thoughts. It’s a fast read and it didn’t make me feel awkward or embarassed. It’s a good buy and I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more whether it’s before doing it the first time, or a weathered pro.

4 Stars quality book with A to Z sex info
I really enjoyed this book. I think it gives a good overview of a lot of different sex options. Kind of reminded me of one of the “let’s talk about sex” guides my parents gave me as a teenager.

The best part about this book was that it opened me up to researching a lot of things I hadn’t really thought about before. G-Spot and female ejaculation, for example. Good stuff about sex during pregnancy. Like I said, everything is covered.

If you’re interested in a very specific topic, this probably isn’t the guide for you. For example, I found Player’s Handbook Volume 3 - Make Her Squirt! A Quick and Dirty Guide to Female Ejaculation and Extended Orgasm to have a lot more info on female ejaculation and how to make it happen. However, I would have never found out about this topic has it not been for this book, so I recommend it as a “sampler” to help open your mind to all the options available to you.

4 Stars Touching
This book is great because it explores emotions as well as positions. Our emotions really form the basis for the depth of our union as well as the flow of our communication with our love.

I gave it four stars because except for the chapter on Tantra “The Big Om,” the emphasis is on various positions and forms of stimulation–and orgasm–just as found in other manuals.

However, there is another approach that is used by peoples living nearer to the tropics who, because of their climate, traditionally did not wear many clothes. Because of this, when children are raised, the infants are in constant full-body, skin-to-skin contact with their mothers or other women of their village/tribe. This prolonged skin-to-skin touching and full-body contact of the infant with women produces a very happy, relaxed child who developes a sense of touch that is quite different than that of infants raised in more fully clothed cultures.

The sexual teachings of some of these tropical, high-touch cultures are quite different from what appears in this book, which is written from a fully-clothed culture. Teachings from high-touch, tropical cultures are not so focused on stiumlation and genital orgasm. Rather, on most nights these lovers engage in much full-body touching that does not involve stimulation–the type of touching they grew up with. Also, on the nights when they do have intercourse, even more full-body touching is used. Because of this approach, these couples enter into realms of deep, soulful heart-to-heart peace and union, which they esteem over orgasm. These teachings can be found in Slow Love: A Polynesian Pillow Book, written by James Powell. If you find yourself attracted to the Tantric teachings in The Complete Idiot’s Guide, I would suggest giving so-called Polynesian sex a try. It is a completely different way of intimacy than that found in other manuals. It starts from different assumptions about touching, and leads to different, and sublime results.Slow Love: A Polynesian Pillow Book

    4 Stars great movie
I saw this movie on TV one weekend and knew I had to have it. I could not find it in any of my local movie or department stores, so I went straight to amazon.com to find it. Sure enough, they had it and a great price for it too. Received emails throughout the ordering and shipping processes and received my DVD well packaged about the time, maybe a day earlier, than I expected. I’ve bought quite a few items from amazon.com and have never been disappointed yet.

    5 Stars GREAT MOVIE!
This is a movie that I can watch over and over.

It’s so warm and heart lifting.

5 Stars A Lot Like Love
I had always just seen bits and pieces of this movie and I mentioned to my 16 year old that I really wanted to see the whole thing. She purchased it for me for Christmas. I treated myself to watching the whole thing, beginning to end and loved every second of it. It’s not very often a 16 and 50 year old can sit together these days and watch a movie but this was just one of those movies. Im not a huge movie person but this was one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. It’s just a happy kind of feeling you get.

5 Stars Cute movie, cute actors, great music!
This ranks up there with one of my all time favorite movies. The soundtrack rocks as well. You will not be disappointed…and you get to look at Ashton Kutcher for a couple of hours, how great is that!

    5 Stars dvd
this was a book i read and the dvd was not bad, i really enjoyed it, good job amazon as well ….. no problems with this item

5 Stars Give it a chance! A Potent, Unforgettable movie in its own right!
I actually read ALL the books of this series before ever seeing the movie, and I STILL actually loved the movie!!

The acting was good by all concerned. Louise Fletcher was so good in this role, that whenever I see her in other films, I think of her in THIS film, and I don’t know what I’d do if I ever met her in person, lol! She did this role so well, it’s like how well Anthony Hopkins did Lecter in Silence of The Lambs, ya know? lol.

Yes, they did gloss over and only mildly insinuate and nuance that maybe the older two were lovers, but that was it, in movies they can’t really point to that kinda stuff, ya know?

Great movie in my opinion! I still watch it at least once a year!

4 Stars I Liked this Movie
I really liked this Movie-I didn’t think I would because of the reviews I saw on it-but I did. Yes it is very different from the book but in all it was still put together well. It made me want to read the book.

    3 Stars Flowers or Foe?
If you saw this movie when it first came out, then you know that it has since been edited, removing key components to the storyline.

I have never read the book, but saw the movie many years ago. The new release has removed the incest from the movie, thus changing the way a viewer SHOULD feel about the way it ends. Many new releases of 70’s and 80’s movies are being edited this way.

This was an excellent movie, and still a good one in my mind, but not what it should be.

1 Star I don’t know why they even bothered making the movie
If anyone wants to know what the book would have been like without the incest, they should watch this. It is basically an excuse to watch children being tortured and starved for an hour and a half. There’s no point other than that. The kids don’t undergo much of a transformation. They get sickly and dirty and cynical and that`s about it. At least in the book, they made devastating decisions that drastically altered their lives. In the movie, they’re just acted upon. I think they scream in horror a lot. I mean, it’s horrible what they went through but you can’t just have kids be tortured for 90 minutes and call it a movie. Something more than that has to happen.

The uncle/niece incest is still in there, of course, and there is incestuous innuendo between Cathy and Chris, but it’s even more creepy than in the book because it’s not developed well. It’s just put in there for shock value and so that people can go, “Oooh, what’s going on here? I don’t like the look of this.”

And on top of that, the ending is changed. I understand that the book’s ending was a bit frustrating, but this ending is just contrived.

The acting is pretty cheesy and Chris looks way too old to be 14-17.

I would not recommend this to anyone who loved the book. As for those who haven’t read the book, I guess it has some merit as 80’s camp/horror (not as much of a classic as Friday the 13th or anything, though), but it’s pretty much unwatchable.
